KSDDS Basic Injection Certification Course: Botox® and Dermal Filler

Successful completion of the KSDDS Basic Injection Certification:
Successful completion requires:
- Registration and payment
- Participate in the entire activity
- Pass the written exam with an 80% or higher
- Successfully demonstrate assessment, injection, and education of botulinum toxins and
- injectable dermal fillers.
*KSDDS recommends healthcare professionals check with their individual State Licensing Board to determine state regulations for performing injections.
Target Audience:
The KSDDS Basic Injection Certification is an 8-hour course for medical professionals, that includes Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Dentists, and Physicians (MD/DO). No prior experience is required.
Overview:
The Kansas Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (KSDDS) is pleased to offer a comprehensive didactic and hands-on FDA-approved botulinum toxins and Filler certification course. The KSDDS Basic Injection Certification is designed for advanced health professionals by physician experts in cosmetic dermatology.
Kansas Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery is a statewide association of dermatologist and dermatologic surgeons dedicated to fostering educational initiatives to strive for quality, safety, and collegiality in delivering dermatologic care.
Course Design:
KSDDS Injection Certification is a one-day intensive course that teaches medical professionals
the technical aspects of basic cosmetic injections. Registration provides the student access to
all didactic materials, injectable supplies, injection training mannequin face model, live patient experience and training, access to sit for the one-hour exam and skills check-off.
Three hours of didactics
- Toxins-what is what and how they work
- Toxins-how, who, what, when, where and why
- Toxin safety
- Fillers-types, differences, abilities and limitations
- Fillers-techniques
- Fillers-safety
Three to Four hours of hands-on training. One-hour exam and skills check-off
KSDDS provides all course materials and live patients for every student to guarantee each student receives hands-on injection experience.
