Jean Bolognia, MD

Jean Bolognia, MD has served as President of the Medical Dermatology Society, the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the American Dermatological Association, in addition to serving as Vice-President of the Society of Investigative Dermatology, the American Board of Dermatology, and the International Society of Dermatology. She has also been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology and the International League of Dermatological Societies. In the latter organization, she served as Secretary-General. Jean is the senior editor of the textbook Dermatology, which is now in its fourth edition, and Dermatology Essentials.


Joseph L. Jorizzo, MD

Joseph L. Jorizzo, M.D., is professor, and former and founding chair of the dermatology department at Wake Forest University and adjunct professor of dermatology at the Weill Cornell School of Medicine. Dr. Jorizzo received his undergraduate medical degrees from Boston University's six-year A.B./M.D. Program and completed his internship in internal medicine, residency, and chief residency in Dermatology at North Carolina Memorial (UNC) Hospital.


He also served as a fellow at St. John's Hospital Dermatology Institute in London. Dr. Jorizzo remains a professor, former and founding chair of the dermatology department at Wake Forest University.


Dawn Davis, MD

Dr. Dawn Davis is a Professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics at Mayo Clinic Rochester. A native of Kansas City, she graduated from the University of Missouri Honors College with a degree in Biology, followed by a Medical Doctorate with honors from the University of Missouri School of Medicine. Dr. Davis is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Davis serves Mayo Clinic as the Enterprise Medical Director of the Referring Provider Office, and also Alumni Relations. She is the former Director of the Women’s Program for female staff. She is a former Mayo Clinic Diversity Leader and former member of the physician staff council. She is the founder of the Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship and currently serves as the Division Chair of Clinical Dermatology. She is a frequent spokesperson for Mayo Clinic media relations and writes for MayoClinic.com. She has received the Excellence in Patient Care Award and the Excellence in Clinical Dermatology Award at Mayo Clinic.

Garth Fraga, MD


Dr. Fraga has practiced dermatopathology for twenty-three years in the Kansas City area. He has published 97 scientific articles and multiple book chapters on dermatopathology. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology. His primary research interests are in evidence-based medicine and quality improvement.


Thomas L.H. Hocker, MD

Thomas L.H. Hocker, MD is recognized as one of the leaders in the field of Dermatology, skin cancer, and advanced reconstructive surgery. He is the author of the best-selling Dermatology textbook, Review of Dermatology, and is one of fewer than 10 Dermatologists in the USA who is ACMS fellowship trained and Triple-Board-Certified (Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and Mohs and Reconstructive surgery) through the American Board of Dermatology. His triple mastery of Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and Mohs surgery has given him unique insight into challenging cases and made him one of the country's experts in rare skin tumors (adnexal neoplasms, atypical pigmented lesions, Spitz nevi, and spitzoid lesions). Dr. Hocker is a member of the prestigious American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. He has published nearly 100 peer-reviewed research studies and manuscripts, with most focusing on skin cancer and reconstructive surgery. He is frequently an invited lecturer at national Dermatology meetings and skin cancer conferences. He is the CEO of Advanced Dermatologic Surgery and Surgical Director of the University Missouri Kansas City Department of Dermatology.
